I don’t have a lot of time so I am basically pasting what I sent to my team. I haven’t read all the comments, but thank you for the support!!! Oh and yes we did contact lawyers etc and there wasn’t anything we could do in the 3 days.

“I’m home. In a house full of chaos and sadness. We didn’t get there till late Tuesday (by we I mean Brent’s brother and me). Wed we got up at 4 AM and packed what we could till the truck came at 3. Luckily after the moving guys left we got a few more boxes ready and were so pooped by 9 we crashed since we had to leave at 4:30 Thursday morning. We basically got the furniture she wanted plus 90% of her kitchen stuff. Only maybe 3 boxes from the whole rest of the house made it on the truck.

It’s unbelievable the amount we had to leave behind. Half her clothes, almost all of her shoes, nothing from the bathrooms, extra bedroom or office and only one box of living room and her room stuff. Even if we couldn’t fit it all in the truck it could have been donated to people in need. She has thought of several things that are really sad she forgot about or couldn’t get to. Some of her dad’s (he passed away a few years ago) stuff and a box full of her important papers (including all her disability, food stamp and birth certificate. Some of that can’t be replaced even if she had tons of money.

We were pulling away right as the sheriffs cars were pulling up to drag her out. I wish there was something money wise I could do for her to help her get back just the necessities at least. A charity or something. Does anyone know of anything like that? Just something small to help her be able to replace the essentials like clothes, bathroom supplies and her walker (yes we even had to leave her super duper walker behind because we couldn’t get it in the car).

She’s taking it much better than I expected though I still think she may crack soon. Heck I may crack soon too. Feeling the pressure of changing things around so she can get around better and her small dog that is blind. We are supporting her for now until she gets a new disability check, but that’s so small it’s going to take her months to get it back to us and we really didn’t have any to spare.

We will be spending the weekend trying to fix the damage the movers did and trying to make it so that she has a place to store her clothes etc. Wish us luck :)
